Matched!

I realized I haven’t posted anything here in a long time. I can’t really blame school because I haven’t been completely busy. I just came from a rotation in Community Medicine about a week ago and it’s been all eat and sleep for me at the Community Center in Bulacan.

Matched!

I got matched to Medical City! This was my first and only choice and I know for a fact that a LOT of my classmates applied to this hospital. They accepted only 5 applicants from my school so far. I hope there would be more so I’ll see familiar faces when I start work there in May 2006. At least now I don’t have to worry about finding work when I graduate. Here’s a link to the website; be forewarned though that the web design here grossly understates the elegance of the physical structure in Ortigas. You know what’s the absolute best thing about working there? There’s a Starbucks on the ground floor.

Christmas

I hope you’re feeling the Christmas spirit and excitedly waiting for Christmas. I am. My family and I are going to Baguio (a city in the northern part of the mainland) for Christmas and will be back in Manila on the 26th. I return to work on the 27th. It will actually be my first time to spend Christmas away from home (albeit with my family). It will be interesting to see how it feels.

Happy Christmas everyone!

CONGRATS!! Hooray for getting into the hospital you were wanting so much to get into! It looks pretty nifty even from the site actually.

Wow, that will be weird spending Christmas away from home. I think I've only done that a couple times and it was really weird. Hope you have fun though!
