Thoughts on the Ayala Rally

This is one reason why the rallies and political demonstrations against the GMA Government would not succeed in forcing her out of office.  The first two EDSA events were genuine outbursts of rage and frustration against the incumbent president of the time.  Only a shake-up like Ninoy's assassination or the vote against the opening of the bank envelope (and Aquino-Oreta's infamous dancing shown on national TV) would cause the moderates and the rest of the silent majority to troop to EDSA (or Makati, for that matter) and demand change.
