Moderation in all things.

I firmly believe in that ancient Greek saying.   We could be talking about religion, politics, food, wine, partying, or anything you can think of under the sun.  Although I also believe in the existence of moral absolutes, I think radicalism in all forms is to be shunned.  It may take me a lifetime to work this all out for myself but that's basically one of my core beliefs.  This brings me then  to an interesting article that a good friend posted in our church e-group.  This is a speech Sen. Barack Obama, now Democratic presidential candidate, made in June 2006.  I have to admit that I am not familiar with Barack Obama's stand on other policy issues, domestic or foreign.  But in this, I fully agree with him.  This is my kind of politics.
