Post-exam Movies
- Legally Blonde (the first one)
- A Bug's Life
- Monsters Inc.
- Finding Nemo
- Fifty First Dates
Yeah, Legally Blonde is on top of my list. I say it with all sincerity. Haha. I have a friend (a law student) who says it actually "inspires her" and she's seen the film almost as much as I have. I must have seen that film about 20 times already, most of the time after taking a huge test. It relaxes me because one doesn't really have to think through that movie and yet it leaves me with a nice tingly-all-over feeling: it assures me that good will always triumph over evil (cliche #1), that crime does not pay (cliche #2), and that blondes aren't all that dumb (nonPC statement #1).
On my list, Pixar movies take 3 spots of the 5. I love Pixar movies! They're created beautifully. I especially love "A Bug's Life." The behind-the-scenes after the movie are the BEST. I laughed more in those last few clips than I did in the entire picture!
I went to see Laws of Attraction recently. For a post-exam movie, it was ok. Nothing spectacular. It was cheesy but it doesn't really matter when the reason you go to see the film is to forget about an exam. I never knew Julianne Moore was very pretty. And she was in that film. She really was. Pierce Brosnan, on the other hand, is getting old. I can understand now why he quit playing Bond. He's too pudgy to be Bond now. And once again, he's old.
