MORE ON JAMIE CULLUM

I've been able to listen to his music after a few days with the CD. I have a new favorite (I know you don't really care about my favorite but you're reading my blog, so...). The song's called "All At Sea." Jamie himself wrote the song and did the piano. His brother Ben did back-up vocals. The song makes me think of sailboats, one of my favorite things in the whole world, along with sunsets, sleep, and good food. The lyrics are below.
There's something about popularizing a musician that makes him/her less appealing. Suddenly, when you hear the so-called jologs people (I'm not being mean, honest!) singing Michael Buble's song, it's not a very cool song anymore. I know you all get what I'm trying to say. Take for example Maroon 5. I love their music but it's just gotten so POP that it has lost its alternative edge. Don't get me wrong. I love Pop. Sometimes, I only know of new songs because it's on the radio and a lot of people already like it. But sometimes, I prefer hidden wonders like Jamie Cullum to stay a bit hidden just to preserve his coolness. Hehe. I'm being silly. Here are the lyrics of my current Jamie Cullum favorite song.

ALL AT SEA
I’m all at sea
Where no-one can bother me
Forgot my roots
If only for a day
Just me and my thoughts sailing far away
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to
All at sea
I’m all at sea
Where no-one can bother me
I sleep by myself
I drink on my own
Don’t speak to nobody
I gave away my phone
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to
All at sea
Now I need you more than ever,
I need you more than ever,
NowYou don’t need it every day
But sometimes don’t you just crave
To disappear within your mind
You never know what you might find
So come and spend some time with me
We will spend it all at sea
Like a warm drink it seeps into my soul
Please just leave me right here on my own
Later on you could spend some time with me
If you want to
